From a Tang Dynasty Workshop to Your Shelf
Wemings is a studio of ceramic artists devoted to one of the great achievements of Chinese craft: Tang Sancai — the "three-color" glaze of the Tang dynasty (618–907 AD). More than 1,300 years ago, imperial workshops along the Silk Road learned to layer amber, green, and cream glazes so they melt and flow together in the kiln, never twice the same. We keep that spirit alive as living, collectible art.
Why Collect Wemings
Most of what we make is produced in limited editions, each piece numbered, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. We are not a factory and we do not intend to be. A Wemings piece is meant to be displayed, lived with, and passed on — the kind of object that earns its place in a collection rather than a cupboard.
