ABOUT THE WORK
Amber Gesture came out of a session with a single brush and a bad temper. The black ground was laid first, then amber and ember red were pulled through it in one continuous movement.
It reads as a fire in a dark room, which is exactly the effect it has on a wall with a warm bulb near it.
