Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These terms govern your use of www.wemings.com and any order you place through it. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to them, so please read them before you buy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by Wemings (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Tang Sancai ceramic studio based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Our full business details, address and contact information are published on our Contact page and in the site footer.

2. Using the site

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:

  • place fraudulent orders or use a payment method you are not authorised to use;
  • copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our images, text or designs without written permission;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
  • upload unlawful, offensive or infringing content through any form, review or customisation tool.

We may suspend or close an account, and cancel any order, where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. You may create an account with a password, or sign in with Google or Facebook. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Products, descriptions and availability

Every piece is handmade and kiln-fired. Glaze flow, colour depth, size and surface detail vary slightly from piece to piece, and photographs are a fair but not exact representation. Those variations are a characteristic of the craft, not a defect.

We describe each piece as accurately as we can, including dimensions and materials. If a piece is unavailable after you order, we will contact you and offer an alternative, a made-to- order replacement, or a full refund.

5. Prices, currency and taxes

Prices are displayed in the currency selected on the site; our base currency is US dollars (USD). We may change prices and run promotions at any time, but the price shown at the moment you place your order is the price that applies to that order.

Shipping is calculated by destination country and method and is always shown in the cart and at checkout before you enter payment details. All duties and taxes are paid by us — no extra customs or import charge is collected on delivery. See Shipping & Delivery for details.

6. Orders and how a contract is formed

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm dispatch by email, or when we accept payment, whichever happens first. Order confirmation emails and checkout pages are an acknowledgement of your order, not acceptance of it. We may decline an order where the item is out of stock, the price was listed in error, the order appears fraudulent, or delivery is not possible to the address given; in that case any amount you have paid is refunded in full.

7. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including card payments through our payment processors PingPong Checkout and PayPal. Card details are entered on the processor’s secure pages and are never stored on our servers. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you select. Orders may be subject to fraud and identity checks.

8. Delivery, returns and refunds

Dispatch times, shipping methods and delivery estimates are set out in Shipping & Delivery. Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Return Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you may request a return or exchange within the return window stated in that policy, measured from delivery; return freight is your responsibility unless the piece arrived damaged or defective; and refunds are paid back to your original payment method.

9. Custom and personalised orders

For custom, personalised or engraved pieces, production begins only after you approve the final design. Once production has started, a custom piece can no longer be cancelled or returned for a change of mind, because it cannot be resold. If the finished piece does not match the design you approved, we will remake it or refund you in full.

10. Intellectual property

All site content — photographs, videos, text, product designs, glaze formulations and the Wemings name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may share our images for editorial or personal, non-commercial purposes with clear credit and a link to www.wemings.com. Any other use needs our written permission.

11. Third-party links and services

The site may link to third-party sites and uses third-party services (for example payment processors, carriers and analytics). We are not responsible for their content or their practices; their own terms and privacy policies apply.

12. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the full extent permitted by law:

  • we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence, but we are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable;
  • we are not liable for business losses such as lost profit, lost revenue or lost opportunity;
  • our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, but we will take reasonable care to keep it available and accurate.

13. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier strikes, customs action, natural disasters, epidemics and power or network failures. We will tell you promptly and do what we reasonably can to reduce the effect.

14. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence, including any right of withdrawal or cancellation that applies to you and any warranty or guarantee you are entitled to. Where such a right gives you more than these terms do, that right prevails.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, and the courts of Shenzhen, Guangdong have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live, or your ability to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right.

Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us first: most issues are resolved quickly by email.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms, an order, or anything else: email service@wemings.com, or use the phone number and address on our Contact page. Our business hours and response time are published there as well.
