ABOUT THE WORK
Where Ash Field I is cool, Ash Field II leans into umber and warm putty. The pigment is pushed into the weave and then lifted with a dry cloth, which leaves a granular bloom across the centre.
It was made as a companion piece. Hung together, the two panels read as one horizon line; hung apart, each holds its own temperature.
