ABOUT THE WORK
Verdigris Field borrows its colour from aged bronze rather than from a palette: a pale celadon ground, sage working into the edges, slate in the shadow passages. The pigment is applied wet into wet so the greens never fully separate.
It holds a room without shouting in it — the reason this is the piece most often chosen for dining rooms and entrance halls.
