Mineral Fields
Oxide Field
Iron oxide bleeding through an olive ground — rust without the drama.
This is a studio original, not a stock item. Commissioning starts a conversation about size, palette and wall — you approve a written quote first, then 50% deposit starts the work, balance before dispatch.
ABOUT THE WORK
Iron oxide is the least predictable mineral in the studio. Here it was laid over an olive ground and left to bloom; where the panel dried fastest the oxide pulled into the texture and left a rust-coloured tide line.
The result is a piece that looks archaeological rather than painted — closer to a wall fragment than to a picture.
NOT QUITE IT?
Commission the feeling, not the picture.
Send a photo of your wall or a colour you love. We will come back with a size, a palette and a price — usually within 24 hours.
