ABOUT THE WORK
Petal Ground is the lightest work in the collection: a chalk-white field with soft colour blooms dropped in and then drawn back into with a fine line. The drawing keeps the colour from turning decorative.
It is the piece that most often goes into a bedroom or a bright hallway — somewhere the darker mineral works would be too heavy.
