ABOUT THE WORK

Script works begin as writing. The marks are made fast, with oil stick and wax crayon, then partly buried under pigment and partly dug out again. Nothing is legible on purpose — what survives is rhythm.

This diptych is the largest of the series and the only one made as a pair. The left panel leans cool (cobalt, chalk), the right one warm (coral, ochre), and the gap between them is part of the composition.
